WHO WE ARE

About Pathwise

OUR STORY

Where Leadership Meets Psychology

Pathwise began the way many meaningful discoveries do: by accident, in the gap between two worlds that were never supposed to intersect. As Dr. Chad Hattrup worked with leaders in corporate and organizational settings, he kept seeing the same pattern. The hardest challenges were rarely problems of strategy or execution alone. They were psychological, yet leaders had little language for understanding what was happening or responding to it differently.

At the same time, Chad’s doctoral work in psychoanalysis, analytical psychology, developmental psychology, and neuroscience revealed the missing piece. In 2006, Pathwise was founded to bring that depth of understanding into the rooms where leaders actually work. More than two decades later, the premise remains the same: meaningful leadership development begins when people can see the patterns shaping how they lead, relate, and respond.

HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF

A closer look at the Pathwise approach.

WHY PATHWISE FEELS DIFFERENT

More than insight. A different way of leading.

Most leadership programs begin with a 10-minute assessment, then offer suggestions for communicating, managing, and performing more effectively. Pathwise goes beneath the behavior. We help leaders understand the inner forces shaping how they respond, relate, and lead, so change is not simply something they try to do. It becomes something they can genuinely choose.

01

MORE THAN A QUICK ASSESSMENT

An assessment can offer a useful snapshot. Pathwise creates the time and space to explore the experiences, assumptions, and habits behind the results.

02

UNDERSTANDING THE WHY

Instead of only asking how to communicate better or manage conflict more effectively, leaders begin asking why certain situations feel difficult, familiar, or disproportionately charged.

03

CHOICE IN THE MOMENT

When leaders better understand what is driving a reaction, they are less likely to repeat it automatically. They can pause, see more clearly, and respond with greater intention.
